The Elbe Shuttle
2026 Off-Season – A Fresh Start with a New Concept in 2027
The Elbe Shuttle is a free recreational and cycling tour bus serving the Winsener Elbmarsch area.
On weekends and holidays from May through October, it makes three trips a day to various stops, allowing day-trippers—whether they have bicycles or not—to hop on and off at the stops as they please. The Elbe Shuttle is free of charge—including the transport of bicycles on the trailer, which has 15 spaces available. Even leashed dogs are allowed on board.
A practical recreational vehicle for cyclists and hikers who want to explore the Winsener Elbmarsch south of Hamburg.
The Elbe Shuttle will be suspended for the 2026 season. Due to the unusual circumstances affecting rail service, we will not be able to offer our usual full range of bus services this year. We would only have been able to provide limited service, which does not meet our standards.
That is why we are using this break to further develop our offerings, and we look forward to getting back on the road with a new concept starting in 2027.
Stay tuned—when things get going again, we'll post the latest updates here!
