The elb shuttle

2026 Off-Season — A Fresh Start with a New Concept in 2027

The elb shuttle is a free recreational and cycling tour bus serving the Winsener Elbmarsch area.

On weekends and holidays from May through October, it makes stops at various locations three times a day, allowing day-trippers—with or without bicycles—to hop on and off at the stops as they please. The elb shuttle is free—including the transport of bicycles on the trailer, which has 15 spaces available. Even leashed dogs are allowed on board.

A practical vehicle for cyclists and hikers who want to explore the Winsener Elbmarsch south of Hamburg.

The elb shuttle is on hiatus for the 2026 season. Due to the special circumstances affecting rail service, we will not be able to offer our usual full range of bus services this year. Only limited service would have been possible, which does not meet our standards.

That's why we're using this break to further develop our offerings, and we look forward to getting back on the road with a new concept starting in 2027.

Stay tuned—when things get going again, you'll find the latest updates right here!
